An afternoon with Jo Malone

Last week I was lucky enough to be invited along to the  Jo Malone store to check out their new English Fields collection. As a lover of candles, pampering and all things nice I was SO excited to go along and have a cheeky gander. So if you want to see what I got up to, then this is the post for you!

For those of you who aren’t familiar with Jo Malone, it’s a b-e-a-utiful fragrance & candles brand which is distinctive for developing bespoke scents which can be layered and used with each other. If you ever find yourself walking past your local store, definitely pop in, just walking through the door smells incredible! At the event we were shown the new English Fields range which consists of 5 limited edition fragrances: Poppy & Barley, Primrose & Rye, Honey & Crocus, Oat & Cornflower and Green Wheet & Meadowsweet cologne.

Then it was time for an arm and hand massage with one of the specialists!  To cleanse the skin she used the Mimosa & Cardamom body wash, followed by the Creme Pour Le Corps in the same scent. It was really refreshing and subtle and something that would be lovely to use everyday. But to add a little extra summit summit, we decided to layer the Primrose & Rye cologne from the new collection. I’m no expert in describing scents but this was warm, sweet and smelt like vanilla & coconut. AKA a holiday in a bottle or a Piña Colada and such a welcome refresher of summer for this time of year!

After this we met with a makeup artist from Bobbi Brown who talked through skincare and beauty tips. I had never tried their products before but they are stunning! As I was already wearing make up, she topped up my eyes using the luxe eyeshadow called melting point and some colour on the cheeks using a shimmer brick in the shade bronze. For the lips she used the nourishing lip colour in blush. It gave a beautiful but natural glow to the skin, something I am alllll about right now!

And then it was time to do a gift wrapping class! We had kindly been gifted a few goodies from the brand in a beautiful Jo Malone box which had been personalised with our names printed on- SO cool. We had a go at wrapping them up in the signature bow they do in store. Now I’ll hold my hands up and say I wasn’t the most gifted at this, but I got there in the end fellas. And to finish off we were given ceramic tags which had our initials embossed on. Such a lovely and thoughtful gift!

So there we have it, a little insight into my afternoon with JoMalone! I had an amazing time with them, finding out more about the brand, seeing my blogger girls and basically going round and smelling everything! If you caught my stories on Instagram you would’ve seen that I was pretty much in HEAVEN. So a big thank you to Jo Malone for having me, you made me feel very lucky indeed.

And if you pop into your local store anytime soon, let me know which of the English Fields fragrance is your fave! Primrose & Rye is the best, that’s all I’m sayin…
